Take a quick read through Taylor Ashmore's BE/WELL E-Letter. The Issue 3 has it all. From some tips about creating a healthy relationship with holiday food? You can hear from graduating BIPOC DNA members. We also have some ways to decrease your caffeine intake for your New Years Resolution. Of course us nutrition majors have some seasonal recipes our officers HAD to share. As well as a closing letter from me (BIPOC DNA President). Let's give a hand to the E-Letter committee for their hard work and evidence based answers to the questions we were all thinking!

Spring Election Openings
Help us keep the Black, Indigenous, People of color (BIPOC), Dietetics/Nutrition Association (DNA) stay an official UIC organization. Without a president (current president graduating) we cannot keep this organization running. All current students, no matter the major, are eligible for membership and to be an officer. With that being said, we have so many amazing positions open to fit a diverse group of skills UIC students have or want to sharpen! Most urgently we are looking for a current UIC student help organize by stepping in as the president, vice president shadow, and MORE!
The QR code will take you to our google form. Applications will close Saturday December 23rd.

Raffle Tickets for our Fundraiser
Tickets are $1 per ticket (10 entries limited). The raffle basket comes with: a mini reusable storage bin + a variety of tasty store-bought treats (think gansito,
prawn chips, ect) from all cultures (Latinx, East and South Asian). Items will be dropped off on either East or West campus depending for each winner. Funding allocated specifically to BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) DNA is crucial for several reasons. These include:
- Addressing Historical Disparities
- Provides Economic Empowerment to a new organization starting with zero funds
- Show your commitment to social justice, equality, and dismantling systemic barriers that have historically marginalized BIPOC individuals.

BIPOC DNA acknowledges that our UIC campus is on the original homeland of the Miami, Objibwe, and Potawatomi Nations. Many other Tribes like the Miami, Ho-Chunk, Sac and Fox also called this part of Chicago home. Despite the many changes the city has experienced, both our American Indian and architecture communities see the importance of the land and this place that has always been a city home to many diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
