Mission
The Little Sparks Program’s mission is to support UIC parent-students by providing affordable, high-quality childcare for infants, toddlers, and young children, along with a comprehensive wraparound care system, study-play areas across campus, accessible lactation rooms with counseling support, year-round family events, and fostering a culture of visibility and belonging.

The mission of the Children’s Center is to:
1. Provide high quality early childhood education and care to the preschool children of UIC students, faculty, and staff in an on campus location.
2. Provide opportunities for observation, practicum, and internship experiences for students in early childhood education and other related professions that support young children and their families.
3. Serve as a resource for faculty & students who wish to conduct research with and for the benefit of young children and their families.

Membership Benefits
Joining the Children's Center and Little Sparks Group provides essential support for UIC parents. The Little Sparks Program offers affordable, high-quality childcare, study-play areas, accessible lactation rooms, counseling support, and family events, fostering a sense of community. The Children's Center delivers excellent early childhood education and care for preschool children on campus, and offers practical experience for students in related fields, as well as serving as a research resource for faculty and students.
