Black Table Talk: What's the Narrative?

📚 WHAT’S THE NARRATIVE? 📚
A Black Table Talk on Reading, Literacy & Banned Books

Who gets to decide what we read? 👀
Why are certain books challenged or banned?
And what happens when the stories we need are the stories we’re told we can’t have?

Pull up to the Black Cultural Center for a real conversation about books, censorship, literacy, representation, and the power of Black stories. We’ll talk about the books that shaped us, the books that have been challenged, and why access to diverse stories still matters.

Come ready to share, listen, and question the narratives we’ve been given.

Let’s talk about what’s being read, what’s being restricted, and—most importantly—WHO gets to tell the story.
