Are you a UIC Business student interested in Information & Decision Sciences (IDS)?

Join the UIC Business Department of Information & Decision Sciences for the IDS Student Welcome! Designed for new incoming and transfer IDS majors and undeclared Business students, this session will cover important updates, resources, and opportunities to help you make the most of your experience at UIC Business. The event will be especially valuable for first-year students, new transfer students, and students who have recently declared IDS as their major, though all IDS majors are welcome to attend.

IDS Students,

Do you have an eye for design and a passion for technology, AI and analytics, and operations?

The Information and Decision Sciences (IDS) department at UIC is holding a contest to design our department t-shirt. The top three designs will receive a $50 gift card, and then, one winning design will be printed on t-shirts distributed to students across the department. Submit your design through the form at HERE by Monday, September 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The winner will be announced at the IDS Welcome Event that evening from 5:00 to 6:30 PM. Please make sure you attend the event and read the contest rules below so your design can be entered.

Contest Rules

What to design: Artwork for the front (and optionally the back) of a UIC IDS department t-shirt. The design should represent the IDS department and its focus on technology, AI and analytics, and operations. It must include "IDS" or "Information and Decision Sciences" and "UIC."
Design constraints: Maximum of three print colors. Original artwork only; no copyrighted images or logos you do not have rights to. Follow UIC brand guidelines when using university marks. Keep the design appropriate for all audiences.
File format: High-resolution PNG or PDF (vector files such as AI or SVG are welcome), plus a one or two-sentence description of your concept.
Eligibility: Open to all current IDS undergraduate and graduate students. One submission per student.
Submission: Sign in to the form with your UIC email account. The form accepts one submission per UIC email ID.
Deadline: Monday, September 14, 2026, 10:00 AM.

Pizza will be served at the end of the session.
