Join us for #HealthyCampusWeek2026 from September 14-18! Since 2015, campuses across the country have celebrated this week with engaging activities and wellbeing education. Each day features a different theme, including Sustainability, Food Insecurity Awareness, Largest Physical Activity Challenge, Mindfulness/Mental Health Awareness, and Eating Fruits & Veggies in your school or sorority/fraternity colors. Participate in activities, compete in challenges, and share your experiences on social media @healthiercampus @uic_campusrec #healthycampusweek.

Food Drive

Help us support the UIC Pop-Up Pantry during Healthy Campus Week 2026!
We're collecting non-perishable food, toiletries, and period products to help UIC students who are experiencing food insecurity. The Pop-Up Pantry serves over 200 students weekly, distributing around 11,000 bags of food annually. Your contributions directly impact their academic success by ensuring they have access to essential resources.

Accepted Donations:
Non-perishable food items (must be in cans, cartons, or bags, unopened, and within the expiration date):
-Peanut butter & jelly
-Rice & pasta
-Canned fish, meat, beans, and vegetables
-Cereal, oatmeal, breakfast/snack bars
-On-the-go/instant meals
-Pasta sauce & canned soup
-Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, period products, toilet paper, etc.)

Important Guidelines:
-Items must be unopened and in their original container with the product label.
-Donations must be free of dents, rips, stains, moisture, and other forms of damage.
-We cannot accept fresh produce, perishable items, expired items, or candy/treats due to food safety regulations.

How to Donate:
Drop off your donations at one of the designated bins across campus (locations TBA) or directly at the Wellness Center.

Not on campus this day? Donations are accepted year-round, so you can contribute anytime.

Largest Physical Activity Challenge

Get ready to move and join the Recreation and Wellbeing Largest Physical Activity Challenge! As part of #HEALTHYCAMPUSWEEK2026, we're competing against universities nationwide to see which campus can get the most people moving. Pick an activity from our list of options and help UIC climb to the top of the leaderboard! Meet us at the Quad, SRF, or SFC with your friends or tag us on Instagram to count your activity for our team.

Time: 10 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in-person at the SRF, SFC, or on the Quad; All Day long on Instagram!

Mindfullness Coloring

Take a break from your busy day and join us for Mindfulness Coloring as part of Healthy Campus Week 2026! This activity offers a peaceful way to unwind, reduce stress, and practice mindfulness. Whether you’re looking for a creative outlet or just a moment of calm, this session is for you.

Stop by the Student Recreation Facility or the Sport & Fitness Center anytime between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM to enjoy some quiet, reflective time. All coloring supplies will be provided—just bring yourself and a desire to relax.
