Little Village READS is a literacy initiative that pairs reading tutors with 1st through 3rd-grade students in the Little Village community. All of the students have been referred by their teachers for extra help outside the classroom, and they meet with tutors two days a week to work on building their reading skills. Tutors engage students in free reading, interactive games, and fun literacy activities.

Fall programming runs from September 11 to December 7, from 2:30-5:00pm. Monday through Thursdays. We are looking for volunteers who are able to commit to at least one day a week.

If you are interested in being a tutor, we would love to hear from you! This is an excellent opportunity to gain some hands-on experience working with a fantastic group of kids.
