The Anthro Club here at UIC is an awesome group of students who all share an interest and passion for the field of Anthropology! All majors are welcome in this club! We love to learn about both past and present cultures and discuss ethnographic, anthropological, and archaeological news, reports, and discoveries! Also, we invite guest speakers to talk about their careers and research throughout the school year! There will be space for undergraduates to present their own projects as well, in a safe space! The Astronomy Club at UIC meets together to discuss, observe and marvel at the wonders of the universe. We observe and photograph celestial bodies with the aid of our telescopes, hear speakers present on current topics relating to space science, and much more! All students, regardless of major, are welcome. Physics undergraduate and graduate students are especially encouraged to join.

Members are entitled to scholarships, internships, and publication opportunities, as well as stipends and monetary awards within the International English Honor Society. Members do not have to join the student organization at UIC to become a member; you are invited to join Sigma Tau Delta first and then you may participate in the student organization. While it is not necessary to join the student organization, it benefits members as being an active member of the Society gives advantage in applications for scholarships, internships, and stipends. By joining the organization - as a board member or active participant - members will gain valuable experience and have an edge over other applicants.
