Dr. Alvin Chin is a Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor in the Dept of Information and Decision Sciences at the College of Business Administration, University of Illinois Chicago. Previously, he was a Research Scientist at Discovery Partners Institute. His expertise and interests are in mobile social networking, data science, machine learning and AI, IoT and responsible AI. He has worked in industry for over 15 years with RXO as a Principal Data Scientist; BMW Group as IT Innovation Engineer, Emerging Technology Researcher and Senior Machine Learning Researcher; and Microsoft and Nokia as Senior Researcher and Product Owner. He was previously an Adjunct Professor at DePaul University in the College of Computing and Digital Media. A recognized industry thought leader; Dr. Chin holds ~20 patents, has ~60 publications, and has spoken on international, national, and local panels. He has a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Toronto, MASc in Software Engineering from University of Waterloo, and BASc in Computer Engineering at University of Waterloo. Dr. Chin serves on the leadership board of ACM as Chicago Chapter Chair, Chair of IEEE Computer Society Chicago and Chair of IEEE Vehicular Technology Society Chicago. Dr. Chin is a Senior Member of both IEEE and ACM, and an Advisory Council Member of the Chicago AI Council at AI 2030.

ANNE Y. LEE is a Bell Labs Fellow currently working as CTO and Senior Research Scientist @ AI Research Lab – Bell Labs Solutions Research. Previously, she served as Senior Technology Advisor in the Technology Leadership Office on Technology Strategy and Architecture supporting the CSTO and CEO by analyzing the evolution of key technologies (e.g. artificial intelligence) and the overall network architecture to identify new directions for the industry and the impact and requirements on the company's portfolio.
Anne has over 35 years of experience at Nokia (AT&T, Lucent Technologies, Alcatel-Lucent, and Nokia).
She was the pioneering IMS technical team leader for Lucent Technologies working closely with the 3GPP standards team from the beginning – circa 1999 – to create the multi-access, globally interoperable IP communications system deployed worldwide. Today there are over six billion IMS devices offering VoLTE, VoWiFi, fixed voip, and RCS services. Recently, the IMS system began expansion to offer end-user features that go beyond voice and connectivity with the integration of WebRTC via IMS Data Channel; this revolutionizes the phone call and the business model through easy quick-to-develop non-standard (while still interoperable) integrated webapps that can be AI-powered. For the last decade, Anne has also concurrently worked on artificial intelligence in CTO and Research.
Anne is a technologist at heart and an electrical engineer and computer scientist by training. She became a Bell Labs Fellow in 2005 and has multiple patents and publications. She is a keynote and TEDx industry speaker.

He brings more than 25 years of experience in the Financial Services industry with a specialization in client solutions around complex program management, technology integration, agile transformation, and portfolio management. Vivek is uniquely accomplished in leading and delivering multi-million-dollar transformation initiatives and system integration programs. He relies on a wide range of strengths from planning to implementation with a focus on continuous improvement to align business objectives with planned outcomes. Vivek also excels at establishing, integrating and expanding near-shore and global delivery models. Vivek possesses deep program management and IT delivery expertise across a range of traditional and agile development methodologies.
Some examples of Vivek’s experiences working with large financial services clients:
•Acted as an engagement lead for the implementation of a Customer Due Diligence (CDD) solution and the implementation of their Account Opening Platform (AOP).
•Served as the overall program manager for the first open-source API delivery of the BIAN framework. The project had six vendors with over 50 people located globally.
•Advised on the structure and assisted with the execution of the transformation management office (TMO) for a large-scale regulatory compliance transformation. During this program, Vivek also supported the integration with an on-shore testing delivery center.
Vivek is SAFe (Scaled Agile) and SAFe Scrum Master certified. Vivek holds a BS degree in Industrial Engineering from Northern Illinois University. He received his MBA with a specialization in MIS from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
