Asian American Students in Alliance (AASIA) is the oldest Asian American organization at UIC, founded as a Pan-Asian organization in 1987. We aim to increase Asian American awareness and address issues surrounding the Asian American community through our cultural workshops, events, performances, services, and social gatherings.

Membership Benefits
AASIA provides a place where you can learn more about Asian American identity and awareness. We also encourage and reward academic excellence as well as provide social and cultural activities for our members. Whether you are Asian, Asian American, or just curious about Asian American culture, all are welcome to join! We hold general body meetings almost every other Thursday at 4pm. We also have a modern dance group called EVO Dance Troupe, that requires no tryouts to join and welcomes people of all dance backgrounds (or lack of). We welcome new members in both the Fall and Spring semesters. All you have to do is submit a membership form as well as pay a membership fee

The mission of FIA is to promote Filipino-American social, cultural, academic, and charitable services to the University of Illinois at Chicago community and more specifically to establish programs and organization for the continued growth and development of the Filipino-American community. FIA shall abide by its constitution and bylaws.

As more and more Filipino Americans grow up in the United States with limited understanding of their roots, Filipinos in Alliance strives to educate others in the hopes that one may gain a sense of identity by realizing their own heritage, as well as the hardships of their ancestors before them, all in a friendly environment with people like themselves. With that goal in mind, we believe in building a sense of belonging and unity with other Filipinos by working together through numerous events and activities to reach as many members in our community that we possibly could. We strongly believe that by creating a combined effort, and through dedicated teamwork, we can make a difference – as Filipinos in Alliance.

The purpose of the Italian Club at UIC shall be to serve the entire community of the University of
Illinois at Chicago. The following objectives of the club are:
i. to promote the interest in studying and speaking the Italian language and culture,
ii. to promote awareness of Italian culture and its contributions to present American
society through the support of a University's Italian Club, and in a wider context,
through activities affiliated with other University and community events.
iii. to provide a means for students to discover and participate in the rich cultural and
linguistic traditions of the diverse regions that comprise the country.
iv. to provide a social atmosphere in which the Italian Club member's experience at the
University of Illinois at Chicago is made more meaningful and complete.

Me.S.A. was established in the fall of 1993, primarily to address pressing problems and issues affecting the Mexican/Chicanx/Latinx community. Me.S.A. hopes that at its basic level, it will promote the importance of higher education, political and cultural awareness, community involvement, and the arts. Our format is democratic and our doors are open to all social classes, religions, genders, politics, nationalities, and immigration status. 1. To foster friendship, goodwill, peace and unity among both Sri Lankans
and all ethnicities/racial backgrounds of every student at UIC. We will do
