African Film Society is a new UIC student organization that seeks to combat the powerful cultural imperialism that negatively distorts African representation in modern-day media. Through regular film screenings and subsequent dialogue, we seek to counteract the stereotypical, prevailing narratives about African people across the diaspora.

Downtown Voices is a student led co-ed A Capella group from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Founded in 2014, Downtown Voices sings a variety of genres like pop, rock, theater, and more. Downtown Voices competes yearly in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella and performs for various events around campus and in the Chicagoland area.

In order to be a member of Kappa Kappa Psi, you must be in at least one band-related ensemble. Here is the list of qualifying ensembles.
Wind Ensemble, Symphonic band, Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Combo, Percussion Ensemble, Pop-rock, Student-led chamber, Mariachi, or Pep Band.

The Red Shoes Review UIC's undergraduate literary and visual arts magazine that publishes the work of students and aims to foster the artistic community at UIC. UIC is full of talented poets, photographers, writers and artists and RSR gives them a place to express themselves. Every year, the RSR board looks forward to putting together the final magazine and premiering it.
