Since UIC does not have an aerospace program but have faculties and students that received various recognition from the industry, we aim to maintain the presence and interest of aerospace within UIC.

The mission statement of the American Lung Cancer Screening Initiative Student Club at UIC
shall be to promote awareness for lung cancer screening for individuals at high-risk of developing lung cancer in the community through educational efforts, community outreach, and health literacy engagement. Activities may include advocating for Congress members to support a lung cancer bill, reforming lung cancer screening curriculum at local medical schools, presenting to various stakeholders to build awareness, and working with local health departments to bring actionable change to the local communities.

The purpose of this club is to share meaningful stories of premedical students with a public audience. As a source of meaningful stories, we look to any current or former pre-med student regardless of institution or background. These stories can be directly or indirectly related to their future careers but are not limited to scientific or health experiences. To collect stories, we plan to use interview-style conversations, where an extensive dialogue with the interviewee is established to capture the breadth of the story that precisely matches the vision of the interviewee. Once the material for the story is collected, we plan to convert it to various forms of media (e.g. short video clips, blog posts, podcasts, etc.) that can be distributed on multiple social media platforms (e.g. YouTube, Spotify, Instagram, TikTok, etc). Throughout the process, the interviewee will continuously be asked to review the content for approval. If the interviewee wants to terminate the use of their story, their wishes will be respected in full. Ultimately, we hope that the actions of our club will enrich the experiences of all parties involved. Whether their experiences be academic, extracurricular, or personal, they make up the journey that led to their current path that others can connect with. In other words, we hope that by spreading meaningful stories of the pre-med experience, our audience, club members and interviewees will be able to find more meaning in their own experiences.

Ruh Project Student Association at UIC support mental wellness in the Muslim student community by combining faith and mental health. SEMMI is a student-led organization at UIC dedicated to advancing knowledge and hands-on experience in semiconductor fabrication and microsystems manufacturing. Our focus is on the Multi Project Wafer (MPW) process, a cutting-edge method that enables multiple designs to be fabricated on a single wafer, reducing costs and accelerating innovation. The club is currently run through a departmental initiative at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the UIC College of Engineering.
